Obey the Ten Commandments, and the Precepts of the Church.

They are your map and guide on the road to holiness.
They describe who God is: Holy, Faithful, Loving, Just, Merciful.

Live the 'Great Commandment'. It is the essence of holiness.

Frequent recourse to the sacraments of Jesus' Holy Bride, the Church.

Humility

Singleness of Purpose: loving God Alone.

Impediments to Holiness: Sin

Disobedience in all its forms, especially to legitimate authority that God has provided for your well-being.

Pride: refusal to accept your 'creatureness', your dependency on God alone.

Lust of the flesh; satisfying its inordinate demands for gratification.

Avoidance of penance: fleeing from mortification of desires.

Spiritualism/Materialism: seeking refuge in earthly idolatry rather than worshipping the Creator of all things.
