Sixteenth Mystery: The Baptism in the Jordan
Offering
We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this sixteenth decade in honor of Thy Baptism in the
Jordan, which Thou sanctified by Thy Presence, and we ask Thee, through this
mystery, and through the intercession of Thy blessed Mother, to sanctify us
according to Thy Holy Will.
Our Father
John answered them, saying: "I baptize with water; but there hath stood one in the midst of you, whom you know not."

The next day, John saw Jesus coming to him, and he saith: "Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who taketh away the sin of the world."

"This is he, of whom I said: 'After me there cometh a man, who is preferred before me: because he was before me.'"

"And I knew him not, but that he may be made manifest in Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water."

And John gave testimony, saying: "I saw the Spirit coming down, as a dove from heaven, and he remained upon him."

"And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptize with water, said to me: 'He upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining upon him, he it is that baptizeth with the Holy Spirit."

The next day again John stood, and two of his disciples. And beholding Jesus walking, he saith: "Behold the Lamb of God."

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. And Jesus turning, and seeing them following him, saith to them: "What seek you?" Who said to him, "Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?" He saith to them: "Come and see." They came, and saw where he abode, and they stayed with him that day.

Hail Mary
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as
it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without
end. Amen.
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins; save us from the fires of hell.
Lead all souls to heaven, and help especially those most in need of
Thy mercy.
Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of
the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Thy well beloved Spouse.
Grace of the mystery of Our Lord's Baptism in the Jordan, come down into my soul and sanctify me according to Thy Holy Will.
