Cenacle Scriptural Rosary: Sorrowful Mysteries

Sixth Mystery: The Agony in the Garden
Offering
We offer thee, O Lord Jesus, this sixth decade in honor of Thy mortal Agony in the Garden of Olives and we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, perfect sorrow for our sins and the virtue of perfect obedience to Thy Holy Will.

Our Father

Then Jesus came with them into a country place which is called Gethsemani; and he said to his disciples: "Sit you here, till I go yonder and pray."
St. Matthew 26: 36
Hail Mary

And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to grow sorrowful and to be sad. Then he saith to them: "My soul is sorrowful even unto death: stay you here, and watch with me."
St. Matthew 26: 37-38
Hail Mary

And going a little further, he fell upon his face, praying, and saying: "My Father, if it be possible, let this chalice pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."
St. Matthew 26: 39
Hail Mary

And he cometh to his disciples, and findeth them asleep, and he saith to Peter: "What? Could you not watch one hour with me?"
St. Matthew 26: 40
Hail Mary

"Watch ye, and pray that ye not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh weak."
St. Matthew 26: 41
Hail Mary

Again the second time, he went and prayed saying: "My Father, if this chalice may not pass away, but I must drink it, thy will be done."
St. Matthew 26: 42
Hail Mary

And coming again, and findeth them sleeping: for their eyes were heavy. And leaving them, he went again: and prayed the third time, saying the selfsame word.
St. Matthew 26: 44
Hail Mary

Then he cometh to his disciples, and saith to them: "Sleep ye now and take your rest; behold the hour is at hand, and the Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go: behold he is at hand that will betray me." As he yet spoke, behold Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the ancients of the people.
St. Matthew 26: 45-47
Hail Mary

And he that betrayed him, gave them a sign, saying: "Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he, hold him fast." And forthwith coming to Jesus, he said: "Hail, Rabbi." And he kissed him.
St. Matthew 26: 48-49
Hail Mary

And Jesus said to him: "Friend, whereto art thou come?" Then they came up, and laid hands on Jesus, and held him.
St. Matthew 26: 50
Hail Mary

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins; save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, and help especially those most in need of Thy mercy.

Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Thy well beloved Spouse.

Grace of Our Lord's Agony, come down into my soul and make me truly contrite and perfectly obedient to Thy Will.
